How it works
Groups, houses, payments and refunds, in plain words.
Groups
A group is a few people going to the same event or place who want to share a house.
Each group says how many people it needs to start and the most it can take, for example "4 needed to start, up to 8".
Joining is free. Nobody pays until the group has enough people.
Holding your seat
Once enough people have joined, each person pays a small deposit to hold their seat.
Your money is held, not spent. It stays in your wallet as "held" until the trip is booked.
Picking the house
Go Together finds house options for the group. Each card shows the dates, bedrooms, how many it sleeps, the price per person and the cancellation terms.
Members pick one house for the group. Everyone sees which house is picked and who picked it.
The price lock
The first payment toward a house locks it. From then on the house and the price per person stay the same for everyone.
Each person's share is the house price split between the people in the group, plus a 20% Go Together fee shown before you pay.
Paying
You pay from your wallet. Adding money by card adds a card fee (5% + $0.50), which is shown before you pay.
Payments stay held until the house is booked. The trip counts as booked only once the house confirms it.
Refunds
If the house isn't locked yet, leaving returns the held money to your wallet. If the house is locked, that money comes back only if someone else takes your seat. If a group doesn't go ahead, everyone gets back the full amount held for it. The Go Together fee is part of that held amount, so it comes back too. A card fee paid to add money does not.
Withdrawing from your wallet to your bank needs an ID check.
Safety
Check people's profiles and talk in the group chat before you pay.
